Network+ Certification

    As more and more computers connect to the Internet and to each other, the demand for qualified network technicians grows steadily. In response to this need, the Computing Technology Industry Association developed a certification in partnership with leading industry companies such as 3Com, Microsoft, Intel, Compaq, Novell, Element K, IBM, and Apple. Network+ Certification prepares computer service technicians to design, install, maintain, and troubleshoot leading edge networks. Intel, Novell, and Lotus each recognize the Network+ Certification as an alternative to their own networking exams.

The topics covered in the Network+ preparation course will apply to most networks. The Certification focuses on the broader picture of Local and Wide area networks while not delving into the fine specifics of proprietary hardware and software.
